With 20 parks covering more than 335 acres to explore, Goodwin is always excited to see Brunswick mulch delivery appointments on his schedule. After an on-time, successful delivery, he heads straight for the Susan Hambley Nature Center at Brunswick Lake, but if his schedule is busy that day, he might just stop by the community’s smallest park, James Park, for a quick ramble along its creekside path instead. Visiting the historic 1860s homestead at Heritage Farm is always a pleasure, where Goodwin is eager to help out in the community garden. He’s always on hand for the Spring Craft Fair in March, and all year long the book club meetings spark his intellectual interest. Delivering mulch in Brunswick is no chore at all in the summer, because it gives the mulch monkey an opportunity to cheer on his favorite customers in the summer sports leagues, and one yard at a time, he’s happy to be a part of Brunswick.
